10 year old in the house!

It's hard to believe our Connor turned 10 this last week! Time has gone so fast and he is growing up before our eyes. We had a great time celebrating with him. We had a special dinner out with his friends, a party with his friends, and a visit from Gma & Gpa Tenney, Aunt Jessie, and her friend Aaron. We are so happy to have Connor in our family. He is such a talented, creative, sweet, energetic boy and we love him so so much!

Halloween 2012

We had a great time this Halloween having Gpa & Gma Mac come to be with us.  We made a fun dinner and then went trick or treating for awhile and then got to go swimming at their hotel.  The boys had a fun night and got LOTS of candy!

Trick or Treat on the Trail

Yesterday we took on the YMCA challenge to climb to the top of Badger Mt. (in the rain!) as a family for their annual Trick or Treat on the Trail.  It was quite an adventure, and I was so proud of my boys that wanted to make it to the top!  It took us an hour and a half to go up and back down (it was 2. 4 miles all together).  It was a great experience together and it was amazing when we reached the top!  (of course our camera battery was dead- so no picture of the summit).  When we reached the top we yelled out together WE DID IT!  The boys were so happy we made it.

Heading up!

There were 9 trick or treat stations all together.

Our trip to Boise

We had the great experience of taking our boys to the Boise Temple open house last weekend.  We met up with my sister and her husband and had a very fun time together.  We got to visit a pumpkin patch, eat out together, get our family pictures taken by my talented sister Katie- www.kateandersonphotodesign.com , play on the "farm" at uncle Josh's parents home, and the highlight- see the Boise temple.  It was such a great weekend, but as always, it went too fast!  Oh and on the way we stopped in Baker City for dinner and ran into our best buddies on their way to Boise too- it was a fun surprise!  Here were a couple of fun pictures from the trip.
Our Family after visiting the Boise Temple- what a beautiful experience together!

Joey's Pumpkin!

Last year (in Kindergarten) Joey learned about the pumpkin life cycle in his class. They got to plant a seed in a cup and bring it home to plant in their gardens. Joey has been so excited about his pumpkin growing and has called it his "kindergarten pumpkin". He was ready to pick it! And my cute mom was there to capture it happening! (thanks mom for getting pictures of the big moment!) My favorite was of his little hand on the pumpkin!

Grapes & Apples

One of our family traditions is to pick grapes for making grape juice, and apples for making applesauce, and this year we decided to do all in the same weekend!  We had my mom and dad here visiting and so it was a lot of fun to pick together and even start on the juice and applesauce together.  Our kitchen smelled so good and got nice and sticky:)  There's nothing like homemade applesauce and fresh grapejuice. Lots of work, but definently worth it!

My beautiful grapes!

Me and my sweet parents- so fun to be with them laughing and having "grape competitions".
